Frosted rose 'Rhapsody in Blue'

Wishing You Joy at Christmas.

Wherever you are in the world, and whether Christmas is something you celebrate or not, I hope that this is a time of joy and peace for you. The ‘blogging world’ is a wide and varied one. It encompasses people who are very different from one another, but are brought together by common interests and a sense of camaraderie. I enjoy the relationships that have built up with both those who read my blogs, and those who write the blogs I read, and I wish you all great happiness at this festive time of year. Merry Christmas to you all!

(P.S. The rose is ‘Rhapsody in Blue’, which finished flowering long before now. One year, however, it managed to produce a few flowers late enough for them to get frosted – a photographic bonus for me!)🎄

  1. You too for the feast of love…above all a lot of peace! 🕊️🎄

(…unfortunately, we got the Black Advent in Germany with the attack on the Christmas market in Magdeburg…that unfortunately gets under your skin and brings a lot of tears at the end of 2024!)

  2. And same to you Ann. I’m not usually keen on blue roses, but this one looks quite purple to me and beautifully frosted. I have thoroughly enjoyed your flowers this year and look forward to seeing many more in 2025.

    1. Thanks Jude – I’m glad you enjoyed my flowers! I agree that this rose is really purple, despite the wishful-thinking (or more likely sales-motivated) name. Purple is one of my favourite colours, so a ‘Rhapsody in Purple’ would have been fine with me…😁

  3. “Rhapsody in Blue” is one of my favorites. This still is one of my favorite performances. I never expected to find a flower bearing that name, but this one’s also a gem. It doesn’t look a bit blue to me — unless it’s blue with cold from that frost covering it! I hope your holidays are wonderful, and not at all blue!
