I’m having a little holiday, so I’ll just leave you with this gleamingly red Sprenger’s tulip, (Tulipa sprengeri). It’s the last of the species tulips to flower, appearing in May or June.

Tulipa sprengeri! Is it in your garden? I had to leave a lovely clump behind. They dig themselves in so deep that they are impossible to move.

I wish it was, but it was at Fullers Mill. (I doubt you’ll be surprised!) I hope you grow a replacement clump… 🙂

There are a lot of beautiful tulips, so I can’t say this last is the best, but that red is glorious!

Thank you Jude. We were lucky with the weather, which was mostly dry and sunny and even luckier that our garden got some rain while we were away. Couldn’t have been better. (Hope your weather has improved!)
