(Almost) Silent Sunday: Frosty Rose

NB: A note for WordPress Reader users – you need to click on the title of the post again to come out of the reader and go to the post itself. This allows you to see the whole of the top photograph. (Otherwise you may see just a tiny section!)

My attention is called away from the garden and photography this week, so I shall just leave this frosty rose for you, with a reminder that Valentine’s Day is coming up on Saturday. (The rose is ‘Rhapsody in Blue’, which is really more of a pinkish purple.)

  1. Here, so much attention is focused on Mardi Gras I’d almost forgotten about Valentine’s Day. I suppose if I’d been roaming through stores I would have been reminded.

It’s a beautifully colored rose, and the way the light creates different shades is as lovely as the sparkling, melting frost. I suppose it won’t be long before your opportunities for frost photography will be done for the year!

    1. I hadn’t thought about it until I came across the rose in my photo files…seemed like a good excuse to use it. 🙂 My opportunities at the moment seem to be for rain photography! (The longest continuous period of rain that I’ve ever seen.)
