That flower looks almost artificial.

Hehe, that put the idea of a border bulked out with artificial flowers into my head as something daft that someone might do to fool visitors. (This was photographed in a garden I visited. To me, the petals suggest the bi-coloured sheen of some silk fabrics.)

Thanks Jill! The dahlia was in a garden full of lovely dahlias, so I had a great time photographing them. I should check to see if it’s open again this year… 🙂
