It’s a re-post of an image from near the start of my blog (in 2018) for this week. We’re just getting back to normal here after having our new heating system installed and it’s good to be warm again. With a bit of luck I’ll be back to my garden and photography in the next few days. 🙂

It’s very happy new & warm here, Steve, thanks! 🙂 It’s great to have it finished right now because the temperature has dipped a lot and we’re now having frosty mornings – not quite enough for frost photography yet though!

Yes, we’re very relieved that the work is all done and wouldn’t have liked to have to wait another week or two. (Or to have the work done while it was a bit wintry – the house got pretty cold while the installation was going on – doors being opened all the time etc. ) The timing has been perfect! 🙂

You’re right, Jill, it is a passionflower. I like to grow them but find that I can’t keep them for more than a couple of years. (They’re not very hardy.) Luckily they can be cheap to buy, so not a problem to replace.

My neighbour has one in his ‘beach hut’ greenhouse. He had one outside a few years ago, not the best idea with our Colne Valley climate.

This passionflower was in my greenhouse when we lived in Scotland and managed to survive for a few years before the cold eventually finished it off. Even here it is very risky to have them outside – I lost a lovely white passionflower a couple of years ago but will try it again.
